ABOUT THE ARTIST: CHRISTINA HILL
I am a full-time nurse with a passion for painting, living in North Carolina with my husband and our growing family. We are fortunate to call the beautiful Uwharrie National Forest our home, surrounded by the serenity of nature and vibrant life.
Art runs deep in my roots, with a lineage of artists on both sides of my family. My love for art began with drawing, and over time, I explored various styles and mediums. Though I started with oil paints, I quickly realized they weren’t for me—the long drying time didn’t match my creative pace. Instead, I found my rhythm with acrylic paints, which allowed me to work quickly and move seamlessly between projects.
Eventually, my curiosity led me to watercolors, and it was love at first brushstroke. The way tinted water flows and dances on paper captivated me, and I was mesmerized by the unpredictable yet stunning results. My heart, a true Aquarius at its core, is drawn to the fluidity and grace of this medium. As an artist, my primary focus is creating semi-realistic custom watercolor portrait paintings, but my portfolio also includes a variety of original fine art and custom pieces in different styles. Each custom portrait is crafted using a reference photo you provide, ensuring a personalized and meaningful artwork.
I create my art in a studio thoughtfully designed just steps away from my home. The space is filled with natural light, providing the perfect environment to bring my ideas to life. Inspired by the beauty of nature, life, and personal experiences, my artwork is made to be treasured for years to come—whether by you, a loved one, or a special friend. Thank you for joining me on this creative journey!
